On the evening of June 27, Diamyd hosted a reception in connection to the ADA congress with the purpose to increase awareness of Diamyd’s research and ongoing studies. Several leading physicians and researchers came to listen to Dr Jerry Palmer and Dr. Kupper Wintergerst. Dr. Palmer, lead investigator in Diamyd’s US Phase III study DiaPrevent, presented the Phase III program including the study design. Dr Wintergerst, principal investigator at Kosair Children’s Hospital at the University of Louisville, presented his study organization and the recruitment strategies that have made his clinic so successful in enrolling patients. Additionally, Darren Wolfe, President Diamyd Inc.,gave a short company overview and presented Diamyd’s upcoming strategies within the diabetes field.
